JOB SUMMARY:
Jefferson County is seeking to hire an Environmental Services Asset Manager to be responsible for the development and maintenance of a fully optimized Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) Program, including enterprise-wide strategic planning and the administrative and technical duties of program coordination and implementation. This position oversees the development, training, and implementation of asset management processes and practices. The Environmental Services Asset Manager reports to the Deputy Director of Environmental Services.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
The following are job-related qualifications that are required for employment consideration for this position:

Valid driver's license.

Work experience supervising or working in a lead capacity in a GIS, IT, or Engineering environment to include training and reviewing work of coworkers or staff.

Work experience creating and editing (e.g., creating/editing fields, setting dropdown options, programing with SQL or Oracle) in GIS databases (Esri, ArcGIS, MapInfo).

Work experience developing parameters for the evaluation of assets (e.g., sewer line inspections, pump stations, treatment facilities) and the probabilities of outcomes (e.g., likelihood of failures, consequences of failures) related to asset management.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
The following are job-related qualifications deemed desirable by Merit System agencies. These qualifications may be considered by a hiring agency when reviewing applications and inviting candidates to participate in subsequent steps in the selection processes.

Asset Management Certification (e.g., Institute of Asset Management, CTAM).

Project Management Professional Certification.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, Geography, Engineering, Planning or related field.

Experience conducting post-failure analyses for public and/or private assets.

Experience measuring and evaluating asset performance (i.e., level of service) for public and/or private assets.
